ONE PERCENT OF SOMETHING (South Korea, 2016; DramaX)
(South Korea, 2016; DramaX)

Under Contract.

A second take on a classic romance makes its simulcast premiere, plus a web drama brings a bit of rom-com to the office.

The heir-apparent lead of One Percent of Something receives an unexpected comeuppance from his grandfather, who just issued an unusual directive via his will: Marry and live with a certain spunky school teacher for 10 months if you ever want to receive your inheritance!

Ha Seok-jin (Let’s Drink) and Jeon So-min (Maids) star as two strangers who enter into a contract marriage for this web novel-to-K-drama adaption. Of note: Novelist and screenwriter Hyun Go-woo also previously self-adapted this work as the source material for a 2003 miniseries headlined by Kang Dong-won (Kundo: Age of the Rampant) and Kim Jung-hwa (Spygirl).

In workplace rom-com Go Ho’s Starry Night, the heroine is an account executive at an advertising agency – and regularly finds herself in the precarious position of mediating disagreements between her temperamental team lead and the firm’s clients.

The sudden death of her mentor, the approach of her 30th birthday, and her inability to recover from a breakup have Go Ho questioning what she truly wants in life.

Unfortunately, her situation is about to get much more complicated.

Go Ho is shuffled to a newly created team led by the firm’s latest hire – who happens to be the ex she thought she’d eventually marry. (Yikes!) And her prickly now-former supervisor starts to take an interest in her, both professionally and personally.

Kwon Yuri (Girls’ Generation, Neighborhood Hero), Kim Young-kwang (D-Day), and Lee Ji-hoon (Mirror of the Witch) lead the cast of this 20-episode web drama.

Additionally, Chinese dramas Whirlwind Girl 2 and To Be a Better Man are now ready-to-marathon with English subtitles.

See below for more about these and other shows with licensed streams and English subtitles.
