Zechs Merquise

Idolized by his fellow mobile suit pilots, Zechs is an enigmatic young man with a mysterious past and a visage hidden behind a restrictive helmet-mask. Although the famed "Lightening Count" is a longtime member of Treize's inner circle, he has an agenda of his own and will go to any length to accomplish his goals. (Third from left in the picture above.)

Lucrezia Noin

Just a hair behind Zechs, Noin is the second-highest graduate in the history of the Alliance's Lake Victoria Academy. She is inherently smart and a genuine equal to any of OZ's top mobile suit pilots. (In fact, she taught some of them all they know about fighting.) In love with her former classmate, Noin is one of the few to know all of Zech's secrets, and she is the only person he trusts implicitly. (Far right in the picture above.)

Treize Kushrenada

Treize, a young nobleman, is the charismatic leader of the Alliance's "Specials" unit and OZ. Calculating and manipulative, he works behind the scenes, playing upon his enemies' weaknesses and insecurities to bring about his political ideal of a world nation. (Second from the left in the picture above.)

Lady Une

Cold and dominating, Lady Une serves as Treize's right-hand officer and flunky. He is her world, a fact that allows her to carry out cold-blooded acts in his name and leads to mental instability later in the series. (Far left in the picture above.)
