Wolf's Rain OST by Yoko Kanno | Beautiful, beautiful music. I'm a sucker for any collaborations Yoko Kanno has with Steve Conte, so this one's a given. Highlights include: - "Stray": The anime's opening song with vocals by Conte - "Strangers": Kind of reminds me of a "Missing" by Everything But the Girl, but I like this infinitely better. ^_^ - "Gravity": A great vocal turn by Maaya Sakamoto. She has grown so much musically since the Escaflowne TV series. Her voice just gets prettier, stronger and more controlled with each new project. - Lots of Brazillian-influenced acoustic guitar stuff.

Ride on Shooting Star by The Pillows | The closing music from FLCL. We need more kick-ass J-rock, in addition to all of the J-pop that's being brought over.

"God Put a Smile Upon Your Face" by Coldplay | I've got a confession to make: This song is the single reason I have yet to *really* digest the rest of this wonderful album. Great guitar licks and lyrics that aren't too suggestive — in and of themselves — but are made just this side of dangerous by lead singer Chris Martin's delivery. This is what rock is about. I dig it.
