Catching up on my e-mails last night, and opened up a promotional mailer from Valley of the Dolls.
For Spring 2008, JUN Planning is teaming up with GAINAX to produce Pullips of “Rei” and “Asuka” from Neon Genesis Evangelion! Rei’s cute, but I must have Asuka.
The fangirl temptation was too much, and I just put in a pre-order.
This is the second Pullip I’ve ordered because she looks like an anime or manga character.
The first was RiDA, who is a dead ringer for “Nana O.” in Ai Yazawa’s excellent Nana manga. (It’s really too bad they didn’t also release one that looks more like “Nana K.”/”Hachi.”)
My other Pullip is Crazzia, whose given name is “Reagan.” How could I resist a doll that comes with her own set of bagpipes?
